Starting out as a general news reporter covering the courts and social issues for his local paper in the UK, Steve rose to lead a regional weekly’s sub’s desk, led teams of reporters as editor, and has project-managed dozens of one-off custom magazines.
Writing for specialist titles, Steve has reported on complex topics such as pharmaceuticals, digital technology, engineering, the security industry, insurance, and major infrastructure projects.
Steve has worked on news reporting and photo-journalism assignments world-wide: from his native UK, to France, Norway, Sweden, Portugal, Hong Kong, travelled across mainland China, and New Zealand.
He has worked as a reporter for BBC and commercial radio in the UK, hosted music shows, and in 2012 launched his first podcast – a weekly wrap of the ups & downs of the New Zealand sharemarket for Investor magazine. In 2017 he wrote and published Podcasting Made Easy – a guide for anyone wanting to start their own podcast.
